Who is Creepybits?
In early 2020 I was relatively new to crypto and fell for an investment scam. I wanted to understand the scam and to do that I needed to understand crypto (namely Ethereum and smart contracts). At the time I only had the slightest idea how cryptocurrencies worked, so I started to do some research. The more research I did, the more interested I became. Once I started reading up on smart contracts, it was as a whole new world opened up to me and it made me want to learn and understand.
There’s plenty information on the internet on how to create smart contracts and Tokens. But there was a problem, most information I could find required that you already had at least basic knowledge (which I didn’t). You could say that I didn’t know enough to make much use of the information I found.

How do you create your own cryptocurrency? You can find information everywhere about this, but what does it help when it uses a language and references you don’t understand? I spent a lot of time on research, joined a plethora of forums, asked all the stupid questions, tried and failed and tried and failed. Until I eventually started to get things right, and slowly started to understand what I did right and what I did wrong.
In the beginning, I made notes on what did and didn’t work, but these notes were just written for my own sake and kept on my computer. Eventually I noticed others asking similar questions that I had asked when I did my research, and when I had the time I tried to answer the questions wherethey were asked. That is, however, a very ineffective way to help people.
So I created an account on Medium and started to writing articles there, and eventually I ceated this website and started migrating my old articles here as well as writing new ones. And that’s where we are now. I’m writing about things I know through either research or trial & error. My intention is to make simple explanations to things that others might find complicated, and my hope is that anyone should be able to follow my guides successfully, without having any prior knowledge about the topic at hand.
