Latency

Latency is the time it takes for information to be sent from one place to another through the internet. High latency means that the data travels slower than usual. The cause for high latency can be various things, such as poor internet connection. If the latency gets high, there’s a risk that what you see on your screen is inaccurate information. High latency could also mean that a bet you placed appears to have been accepted, even though the bet was made after the betting had closed. If this happens, you will get an error message after the round is over. Occasionally a bet placed during high latency, or if the bet is made in the last second, could get accepted but pushed until the next round.

Inactivity

Switching windows or window tabs during live games can cause you to become inactive. Inactivity can result in disconnection from the game.

Display errors

In live games such as Blackjack or Baccarat, there can, on rare occasions, be display errors. This can result in the wrong card being displayed on your screen. If this happens and you would have won if the displayed card had been correct, you can raise a dispute, and the casino will make sure the error is corrected, and your win will be paid. A display error could also result in the wrong odds being displayed. For example, the price is recorded as 100-1 when the price on offer in the general market is 10-1 or the margins for handicap betting have been reversed.

What’s the policy when an error occurs?

If the error lies with the sportsbook, such as display errors, the bets will either be refunded, or the correct amount will be paid. The sportsbook will not refund issues where the error is at the user’s end, such as high latency, inactivity due to switched windows or late bets.
